Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Water & Maritime team in Australia. You will apply your expertise in hydrology, hydraulics and water resource management on projects across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, delivering flood resilience and climate adaptation solutions.

You will work with engineers, modellers and environmental specialists on diverse projects, developing models and producing reports while collaborating with teams across Australia and globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in flood risk assessment, hydrology, hydraulics or water resources engineering.
  • Experience with hydraulic modelling software, particularly TUFLOW; HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS advantageous.
  • Proficiency in GIS and data analysis tools; Python or MATLAB beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of flood resilience, water resources and climate adaptation projects.
  • Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to assess flood risks.
  • Develop hydraulic and hydrodynamic models for rivers, catchments and coastal environments.
  • Prepare technical reports, designs, proposals, budgets and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and globally to deliver high-quality outcomes.
