Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Water Quality Officer for Fitzroy River Water, based in Rockhampton. You will monitor and report on water quality across the region’s water and wastewater infrastructure, delivering timely data and insights.

You will provide technical guidance on chemical and biological aspects of treatment processes, coordinate with stakeholders, and support regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality records.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory or field-based water quality monitoring experience and qualifications in Chemistry, Microbiology or Biology.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of water and wastewater treatment processes and drinking water supply systems and the related guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed and accurate reports within required timeframes.
