Job summary

Orange City Council is seeking a Water Network Operator to join the Water and Sewer Team. The role covers operation, maintenance and construction of water supply and sewerage systems and offers hands-on work across a range of plant and equipment to deliver safe, reliable services for the Orange community.

Applicants should have White Card, MR Licence, Confined Space, and RMS Traffic Control Qualifications; Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or similar is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a White Card and MR Driver's Licence.
• Confined Space Certificate required.
• RMS Traffic Control Qualifications preferred.
• Certificate III Water Industry Operations or similar essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and construct water supply and sewerage systems.
• Maintain pipes, meters and services.
• Clear sewer chokes and support infrastructure upgrades.
• Work across operation, maintenance and construction in a hands-on role.

This position offers:

• A permanent full-time 38 hour per week role with a 9-day fortnight
• A weekly salary of $1,274.83 - $1,389.56 plus allowances and superannuation
• Training and support to help you grow and develop within your role

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver's Licence
• Confined Space Certificate
• Roads and Maritime Services Traffic Control Qualifications
• Certificate III Water Industry Operations or similar
