Job summary

Lismore City Council invites applications for the Manager Engineering (Water). You will lead strategic planning, design and delivery of water, sewer and urban stormwater infrastructure to ensure safe, sustainable services for the community.

The role requires tertiary engineering qualification, Chartered Engineer status, extensive experience in water utilities, and strong leadership to oversee budgets, contracts and development applications.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or eligibility with Engineers Australia.
• Extensive experience in water, sewerage and stormwater planning and operations.
• Strong knowledge of WSAA, Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, NSW EPA regulations, NSW regulatory framework.
• NSW Class C Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across Strategy, Planning & Investigation and Capital Delivery.
• Develop infrastructure development strategies for a growing community.
• Oversee planning, design and delivery of capital investment projects for water, sewerage and stormwater.
• Provide technical leadership for long-term planning and prudent capital investment profiles.
• Manage budgets, procurement, contracts and contractor performance for water infrastructure.
• Contribute engineering input into development applications and subdivision approvals.
• Develop and implement policies and service improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Education

Civil or Environmental Engineering degree

Chartered Engineer status

NSW Class C Driver Licence
