Job summary

Transport for NSW in regional NSW is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to deliver safe, efficient road maintenance across the region. You will operate Water Carts and other plant, perform pre-start checks and support traffic management on active worksites.

You will hold a Heavy Rigid licence, White Card, and the ability to tow trailers, with willingness to obtain Traffic Controller and Work Zone qualifications within three months; you will record work details and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• HR licence and White Card required.
• Ability to tow trailers as needed.
• Traffic Controller qualification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Work Zone Traffic Management qualification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong literacy and numeracy for records and communication.
• Willingness to meet licensing/certification requirements as directed.

Responsibilities

• Operate Water Carts and other plant on road projects.
• Undertake pre-start inspections and basic plant maintenance.
• Perform traffic management activities as required.
• Complete work records and document activities.
• Collaborate with team to deliver safe, quality road infrastructure.
