Job summary

Ballina Shire Council is seeking a dedicated Water Administration Officer to join the Financial Services section and support the water and wastewater billing system. You will help ensure accurate billing and a positive customer experience while reporting to the Coordinator Rating.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and data entry skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365. Flexible work arrangements and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of vocational qualification in Business, Finance, Administration or equivalent, and/or demonstrated relevant experience.
• Proven highly developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven sound interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service and deal with sensitive issues using diplomacy, assertiveness and compassion.
• Demonstrated computer literacy with intermediate Microsoft Excel experience and competency with other Microsoft 365 applications and corporate software.
• Demonstrated data entry experience with proven accuracy and attention to detail.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are looking for a dedicated and customer focussed individual to join our Financial Services section.

Reporting to the Coordinator Rating, the Water Administration Officer is an important member of Council's Rating team, contributing to the delivery of high level services to our community.

In this varied role, you will support the efficient and timely administration of Council's water and wastewater billing system, helping ensure accurate billing and a positive customer experience.

The rewards

• An annual salary range of $68,400 to $78,500 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
