Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a Production Officer to safely operate and maintain Wastewater treatment assets across the North West Treatment Hub, including Castle Hill, Riverstone and Rouse Hill facilities. You will work to meet EPA Environmental Licence conditions while supporting customer satisfaction and efficiency targets.

Reporting to the Northwest Hub Manager, you will join a practical, hands-on team responsible for plant performance, on-site process checks and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications or eng/science degree or equivalent experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel within hub.
• Willingness to rotate roster including after-hours and weekends.
• Experience in water/wastewater production/manufacturing is advantageous.
• Competent with basic computer applications and office software.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater plants in all conditions following safety and quality protocols.
• Undertake daily water quality testing and adjust process control parameters.
• Contribute to prioritisation of maintenance and renewals.
• Execute on-site process and asset checks using available systems.
• Manage onsite safety and works coordination including Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag.
