Job summary

Bioworx is seeking an experienced Waste Water Service Technician / Pump Truck Operator to join our Hillcrest, QLD team. This full-time role entails operating pump trucks, maintaining wastewater systems, and delivering high-quality service across the region.

Based in Hillcrest, you may travel to various client sites as required. Independent work will involve servicing treatment plants, troubleshooting, and performing repairs.

Qualifications

• Hold a current HR or HC licence (NOT essential to have, but willing to obtain).
• Wastewater experience not essential as training is provided.
• Pumps and basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Physically capable with regular manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and able to adapt on the go.
• Police Check and full licence history required (3-year traffic history).
• Be comfortable in presence of all animals and willing to complete pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pump trucks and associated equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards
• Perform wastewater system inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including service reports and client documentation
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and ensure vehicles are roadworthy
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to wastewater management
• Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding maintenance and repairs

Job description

Bioworx is seeking an experienced Waste Water Service Technician / Pump Truck Operator to join our team in Hillcrest, QLD. This is a full-time position where you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining pump trucks, managing waste water systems, and delivering high-quality service to our clients across the region. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that waste water systems function efficiently and that clients receive reliable, professional service. You will be based in Hillcrest and required to travel to various client sites throughout the service area.

Working independently, you will be servicing and maintaining treatment plants, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs to all different types of systems and be willing to provide on call coverage, respond to call – outs and do additional overtime if required and rostered weekends. You will be rewarded withgreat working conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pump trucks and associated equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards
• Perform waste water system inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties

• Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding system maintenance and repairs

What we're looking for

• Hold a current HR or HC licence ( NOT ESSENTIAL TO HAVE, BUT WILLING TO OBTAIN ONE)
• Previous experience in wastewater is an advantage, but not essential AS ALL TRAINING IS PROVIDED.
• Pumps and basic mechanical knowledge preferred
• Reliable and punctual - you show up on time, ready to get the job done
• Enthusiasm to learn from all team members- also learning all aspects of being pump truck operator
• Able to follow a driver run sheet, but flexible and resourceful enough to adapt on the go
• Physically capable and enough strength to engage in regular manual handling, including loading and unloading
• Professional and approachable - the friendly face of Bioworx to our customers and a team player
• Safety-conscious and committed to following all policies and procedures
• Basic computer skills- competant with ipad/android screen
• Current LVR & CPR Certificate ( or can obtain quickly we can help with )
• Police Check and full licence history - Able to provide a 3-year traffic history at the interview
• Be comfortable in presence of all animals
• Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
