The City of Canterbury Bankstown is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to join our Sustainable Future unit. You will manage the online cleanup booking site and develop communications to help residents and staff reduce waste.

This is a permanent full-time role with council conditions. You will drive education programs, oversee contracts, and contribute to community plans and environmental reporting while working with CALD communities and diverse stakeholders.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management or Science, or equivalent experience
• Class C Driver’s Licence
• Experience delivering education and engagement resources and events
• Strong communication and public presentation skills
• Proven project management skills including planning and budgeting
• Ability to work with CALD communities
• Experience in report writing and monitoring outcomes
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, mapping tools and databases
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/nights

Mansioni

• Develop, deliver, maintain and evaluate education and engagement programs for waste reduction.
• Oversee the clean up website contract development and staff training.
• Research and implement solutions for waste and resource recovery issues.
• Support Council plans and environmental reporting.
• Maintain data and assess programs to meet policies and legislation.
• Manage grants and alternative funding sources.
