Job summary

BDO, a global professional services firm, invites a Senior Manager to Brisbane to lead strategic and financial advisory engagements in waste and environmental infrastructure. You will work with Partners and multidisciplinary teams to transform sector insights into practical recommendations for major infrastructure investments.

You will oversee complex business cases, procurement strategies, and governance models, while mentoring juniors and growing the advisory capabilities with a focus on

Qualifications

• Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to assess costs, revenues and viability.
• Experience developing or reviewing financial models and testing assumptions.
• Exposure to business cases, feasibility studies and commercial assessments.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or workstreams with scope, budgets and resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex advisory engagements from strategy to business case and procurement decisions.
• Develop infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, feasibility studies and commercial assessments.
• Oversee financial and operational modelling including costs, revenues and scenarios.
• Advise on funding, ownership, governance and risk allocation models.
• Lead procurement strategies, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Manage project scope, budgets, resourcing, quality and delivery risks.
• Facilitate workshops and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with councils, government agencies, utilities and investors.
• Support proposals and growth initiatives for the team.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to new tools and ways of working.
