Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Waste Collection Officer to join the Waste Management Centre Team. You will drive and operate a waste collection vehicle, collecting household waste in Bathurst in accordance with applicable statutes and council policies.

The role reports to the Waste Collection Team Leader and is a permanent, full-time position. The job includes a 38-hour work week and benefits to support work/life balance, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• HR Driver's Licence required.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance knowledge.
• Experience operating tipping trucks.
• Experience operating lifting equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
• Commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a waste collection vehicle to collect household waste in Bathurst in line with statutes and council policies.
• Undertake duties at the Waste Management Centre as directed.
• Report to the Waste Collection Team Leader.
