Bayside Council's Waste and Cleansing Operations are hiring for hands-on roles across the Rockdale and Botany precincts. You’ll perform public amenity cleansing, high-pressure cleaning, waste collection and streetscape maintenance in outdoor settings, using a range of plant and equipment.

Join a supportive team and help keep Bayside looking its best. Experience in waste, cleansing or civil maintenance is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste, cleansing or civil maintenance desirable.
• Current NSW Driver Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)
• SafeWork NSW White Card holder
• Ability to undertake outdoor manual work

About the roles

At Bayside Council, our Waste and Cleansing teams play a vital role in maintaining some of the region’s most highly visible public spaces. Every day, our crews help deliver a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and local businesses.

Based across the Rockdale and Botany precincts, these hands-on roles are ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy working outdoors and want to contribute to keeping Bayside looking its best.

As part of our team, you will undertake a variety of operational activities including:

• Public amenity cleansing and maintenance
• High-pressure cleaning of public spaces
• Waste and litter collection
• Leaf blowing and streetscape presentation
• General cleansing and environmental maintenance activities
• Operating a range of plant and equipment relevant to the role

You will be a visible representative of Council and an important contributor to the presentation and liveability of the Bayside community.

About you

Experience in waste, cleansing or civil maintenance is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, reliability and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Weekly rate: $1,309 to $1460 pw (including allowances) plus 12% Superannuation
