Job summary

CBCity is seeking a Project Officer to support development of waste, recycling and circular-economy plans, policies and strategies. You will guide key projects to provide direction and resources to address local waste challenges and opportunities.

This permanent full-time role offers the chance to work with stakeholders, contribute to planning documents and assist with tenders and procurement, shaping a sustainable city for residents.

Qualifications

• High level communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Demonstrated understanding of waste-related legislation, policy and procedures.
• Proven skills in project management including planning, prioritisation and budget management.
• Experience with planning and strategy documents for waste, recycling or circular-economy projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or industry experience in waste management.

Responsibilities

• Support development and improvement of waste, recycling and circular-economy services and master plans.
• Provide strategic guidance for major waste and cleansing projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve waste management in developments.
• Contribute to planning documents to ensure waste considerations are included.
• Assist with tenders, service agreements and procurement processes.
