Job summary

MEGT is recruiting a Warehouse Trainee in Sale, VIC to join the team in a permanent, full-time role.

You will support receiving, storing, packing and handling goods, while learning stock control, logistics, and procurement in a defence-clearance environment. A manual driver's licence is required and a commitment to safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach.
• Must hold a current manual driver's licence.
• Willing to pass defence security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, storing, packing and handling goods.
• Support stock control activities, including stocktakes and maintaining records.
• Manage stock rotation, shelf life and quarantine storage to ensure materials are available when required.
• Develop skills in logistics, procurement and safe handling and transportation of goods.
• Work with the team to resolve stock and logistics queries and support day-to-day operations.

About the role

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to: Assist with receiving, storing, packing and handling goods, ensuring materials are managed safely and efficiently.

Support stock control activities, including monitoring stock levels, conducting stocktakes and maintaining accurate records. Assist with managing stock rotation, shelf life and quarantine storage to ensure materials are available when required. Develop skills in logistics, procurement and the safe handling and transportation of goods, including dangerous goods.

Work with the team to resolve stock and logistics queries, maintain warehouse procedures and support day-to-day operations. What we're looking for: Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.

A motivated and reliable person who is keen to learn and develop new skills A current manual driver's licence is essential. Must be able to successfully pass a defence security clearance
