Job summary

AVG (Australian Valve Group) in Luscombe, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to run daily warehouse operations, supervise staff, and ensure accurate picking, packing and dispatch while maintaining stock control and safety standards.

The role involves coordinating with sales, customer service and logistics, delivering efficient processes, and supporting continuous improvement. Certificates in Warehousing are desirable; the team offers annual leave loading and health benefits.

We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Team Leader, to join our small warehouse team at Luscombe. In the role, the successful candidate will be hands-on and confident in keeping daily operations running safely and efficiently, whilst coordinating the team and carrying out daily administration.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations and workflow.
• Supervise and support warehouse staff.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing and dispatch of orders.
• Maintain stock accuracy and inventory control.
• Coordinate receivals, put-away and replenishment.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse.
• Monitor productivity and address operational issues.
• Ensure procedures and company policies are followed.
• Support stock takes and investigate discrepancies.
• Work closely with sales, customer service and logistics teams to meet customer requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Inventory accuracy > 99%.
• Picking accuracy > 99.5%.
• Labour productivity targets achieved.
• On-time receiving and dispatch performance.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you need to be able to demonstrate:

• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of warehouse, inventory and dispatch processes.
• Sound computer skills, including inventory.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• Certificate III or IV in Warehousing, Logistics or a related field is desirable but not essential.

This position would suit an experienced leading hand who is highly organized, process-oriented, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
