Job summary

Freedom Furniture is seeking a Warehouse Storeperson at the Pooraka Distribution Centre in SA to handle and move furniture in a high-volume environment. This role requires operating lift order picking equipment up to 8 metres, receiving, dispatching and storing stock with care, and performing safety checks while maintaining inventory accuracy with RF scanning.

You will work across teams, with occasional Saturday shifts, in a supportive, design-led Australian brand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years lift order platform picking in a high-volume warehouse.
• Physically capable of handling bulky furniture and working at heights.
• Comfortable with RF scanning and warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, dispatch and store stock with proper care.
• Process deliveries, check documentation and ensure accuracy.

What You'll Be Working On

In this physically active role, you'll be responsible for the careful handling and movement of furniture products throughout our distribution centre.

Your day will involve:

• Operating lift order picking equipment at heights of 8+ metres
• Manually receiving, dispatching and storing stock with proper care
• Processing incoming deliveries, checking documentation and ensuring accuracy
• Conducting pre-work safety checks on forklifts, order pickers and turret trucks
• Using RF scanning technology to maintain inventory accuracy
• Working across multiple teams and adapting to different tasks as needed
• Contributing to a safe working environment through WH&S compliance

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse, handling a diverse range of furniture products including lounges, buffets, tables and chairs.

What Type of Person Will Succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• 2+ years experience of lift order platform picking in a high-volume warehouse (30+ team members)
• Comfortable working at heights of 8+ metres for extended periods
• Physically fit and capable of handling bulky, heavy furniture items
• Reliable and committed to working Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts
• Proficient with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems
• Adaptable and happy to work across different teams and tasks
