Job summary

DG Air Freight is seeking a full-time Warehouse Storeperson/Driver in Melbourne to join our team. The role covers local driving, loading/unloading, and delivering goods to customer sites, ports and airports, while ensuring on-time arrivals and maintaining vehicle readiness.

You will pack dangerous goods shipments, use forklifts when needed, and provide excellent customer service. Training and development opportunities are available as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Driver's licence required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Local driving within Melbourne metro and outer areas.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Deliver goods to customer sites, ports and airports.
• Ensure freight arrives on time to final destination.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and keep vehicle clean.
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
• Pack and prepare dangerous goods shipments.
• Operate forklift where applicable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Local Driving - Mel Metro & Outer Metro
• Loading and unloading of Trucks
• Delivery of Goods to Customer sites, Ports and Airports
• Ensuring clients freight arrives at final destination within required time frames;
• Preform Maintenance Checks and keep cleanliness of Vehicle
• Providing an outstanding level of Customer Service to our clients
• Packing and Preparing Dangerous Goods Shipments
• Use of Forklift

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Required

• Driver's Licence
• Completed Year 11 or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Eager to learn, team player
