Job summary

Workfast is seeking a qualified, reliable, and safety-conscious Dangerous Goods (DG) Driver to join an industry-leading environmental services operator based out of Ingleburn.

In this role you will operate heavy vehicles handling the safe collection, transport, and disposal of hazardous liquid waste across the Greater Sydney region, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You must hold a DG licence and a Heavy Vehicle licence (HR/HC).

Qualifications

• Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence mandatory and current.
• Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR/HC) required.
• Proven experience in liquid chemical handling or similar waste operations.
• Solid knowledge of EPA guidelines and spill containment procedures.
• Ability to perform site cleanup and hose connections safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive heavy vehicles and manage liquid waste collection and transfer between client sites, treatment facilities, and disposal hubs.
• Assist in emergency spill response tasks including containment, cleanup, and compliant disposal of hazardous liquids.
• Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, DG transport codes, load placarding, and CoR.
• Perform daily pre-start checks, maintain equipment cleanliness, and manage hose hookups safely.
• Complete run sheets, waste tracking dockets, and transport manifests.

• Ensure complete adherence to EPA regulations, DG transport codes, load placarding, and chain of responsibility (CoR).
• Conduct daily pre-start checks, maintain equipment cleanliness, and manage hose hookups safely.
• Complete accurate run sheets, waste tracking dockets, and transport manifests.

Key Requirements

• Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (Mandatory).
• Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence (HR or HC required).
• Proven experience in liquid waste or chemical handling (highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of EPA guidelines and spill containment protocols.
• Physical capability to manage heavy hose connections and site cleanup duties.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.

Pay & Schedule

• $45.00 per hour + penalties + superannuation.
• Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
• Ongoing, steady work with full weekly hours and weekend downtime.
• Depot based in Ingleburn, NSW.
