Qualifications

• Prior warehouse or distribution centre experience is essential.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task.

• Reliable with good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with WMS preferred but not essential.
• Forklift certification or willingness to undergo training.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Store Person to join the team at Daleys Auto, Marine and Upholstery. This is a full-time position based inVillawood, NSW, 2163. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre, ensuring that stock is managed effectively, organised systematically, and dispatched promptly to meet our customers' needs. Your contribution will be fundamental to maintaining the smooth flow of products through our facility and supporting the overall success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Serving walk-in customers, answering phone calls, taking orders over the phone, and recommending the correct products based on each customer’s needs.
• Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and inventory shipments
• Accurately labelling, storing and organising products in designated warehouse locations
• Maintaining inventory records and ensuring stock levels are recorded correctly in the system
• Picking and packing orders according to specifications and dispatch requirements
• Preparing shipments for distribution and ensuring correct labelling and documentation
• Operating warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks where trained
• Conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
• Supporting the warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines
• Following established procedures and policies to ensure efficient warehouse operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate stock management and order fulfillment
• Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and move items regularly throughout the shift
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (preferred but not essential)
• Forklift certification or willingness to undertake training (advantageous)
• Health and safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

The following experience would be a significant advantage:

• Experience working with automotive and marine upholstery products or fabrics.
• Familiarity with handling fabric rolls or similar materials.
• Previous picking, packing, invoicing, or customer-service experience.
• Knowledge of industrial or wholesale products.
