Job summary

Speed Gas is seeking a reliable team member to join our Melbourne operation. You will operate automated gas filling systems, load and unload distribution trucks, and help with receiving and dispatching freight orders while maintaining safety standards.

Speed Gas is a 100% Australian owned company with over 25 years in the industry, supplying LPG, Argon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide and more to customers Australia wide. We're growing, and we want good people to grow with us.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating automated gas filling systems and manufacturing plants
• Loading and unloading cylinder distribution trucks
• Receiving and dispatching regional freight orders
• Testing and updating cylinders in accordance with Australian standards
• General housekeeping and compliance with safety requirements

While you may settle into a rhythm in certain areas of the operation, flexibility is key — tasks and priorities can shift at short notice depending on demand, and no two weeks are exactly the same. Hours of work 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-4pm Friday.

Desirable but not essential:

• Manufacturing or warehousing background
