Job summary

Orica in Welshpool, WA, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our logistics team. You will manage goods receipt, storage, assembly, and dispatch, ensuring inventory accuracy and smooth operations with production and supply chain colleagues.

The role involves data entry, kit preparation, small mechanical and electrical assembly, and liaising with transport providers. GCSE or equivalent, 2 years in warehousing, ERP familiarity, and a careful, team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent education.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing or stores operations.
• Technical assembly or assembly line experience highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw materials and book them into the system, recording PO and batch numbers.
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks using gauges and measuring equipment (training provided).
• Handle supplier returns and inspect returned rental equipment for re-issue.
• Clean and prepare rental equipment for re-issue.
• Store components and finished goods, maintaining accurate stock records.
• Kit components for production and restocking materials as required.
• Perform small mechanical and electrical assembly tasks (e.g., chargers, battery packs, tool stands).
• Configure goods, including tablet setup.
• Pick and pack goods for dispatch, ensuring correct serial numbers and proper packaging to prevent damage.
• Manage paperwork for goods out and internal storage, including shipping labels and dangerous goods identification.
• Liaise with transportation companies and couriers.
