Job summary

Invetech in Melbourne is seeking a Warehouse Operator on a 12 month fixed-term contract to manage receiving, inspection, and movement of materials for production. The role requires accurate ERP transactions, inventory control, and strong communication across teams. Experience with SAP and forklift operations is essential.

You will contribute to process improvements, maintain stock accuracy, and support efficient production flow in a fast-paced healthcare manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience with goods receiving in a warehouse/inventory role.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management/ERP systems (SAP preferred), plus spreadsheets for tracking movements.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting incoming materials.
• Documenting and recording material movements in the ERP system.
• Reconciling discrepancies and coordinating resolutions with suppliers or carriers.
• Support inventory management and stock level updates in the ERP.
• Inventory and order picking to replenish production cells using Kanban or similar methods.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in goods receiving operations.

What You Will Do & What You Will Bring:

As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for:

Receiving and inspecting incoming materials: responsible for physically receiving materials, verifying quantity and quality, and checking them for any damages or discrepancies.

Documenting and recording material movements: Accurately transact all received materials in the ERP system.

Reconciliation and discrepancy resolution: In case of any discrepancies, such as incorrect quantities or damaged goods, promptly communicate and coordinate with the appropriate departments, suppliers, or carriers to resolve the issues.

Support Inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock levels in the ERP system.

Inventory and order picking: Replenishment of materials to production cells, restocking bins using Kanban card system

Continuous improvement: You will actively participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement, suggesting solutions, and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy in goods receiving operations

In addition, we require the following skills and experience:

Forklift licence is essential.

Work in a safe manner in Compliance with EHS and other company policies and procedures. Ensure the safety of yourself and your teammates when handling and storing goods to ensure a safe working environment

Experience with goods receiving processes in a similar role, such as a warehouse or inventory clerk.

Experience in using Warehouse Management/ERP systems (SAP Preferred), spreadsheets and other relevant software for tracking and recording material movements

Accurately inspect and record incoming shipments, ensuring that the quantities, qualities, and specifications of the goods match the purchase orders.

Efficiently manage and keep track of multiple incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that they are properly received, stored, and distributed.

Effective verbal and written communication is essential.

Accurately count and calculate quantities, weights, and measurements of received goods.

Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, damages, or issues with received goods, and work towards finding solutions promptly.
