Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Lidcombe, Sydney is seeking an experienced Warehouse Officer to join our team on a casual basis, approximately 20 hours per week with the potential to flex to full-time during planned leave periods.

The role involves order fulfilment, receiving, stock counts, waste handling, recycling and leave-cover duties, with a focus on accuracy, safety and teamwork. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience or license (LF is advantageous).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in warehouse or inventory is beneficial.
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual handling.
• Ability to work in a team with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Basic computer skills and good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Order fulfilment: pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch or collection by technicians.
• Receiving: inspect incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing lists.
• Inventory control: perform routine stock counts and report discrepancies.
• Waste management: assist with decanting waste from wheelie bins into large bins for collection.
• Recycling: help clean and recycle stock returned from the field.
• Leave cover: flex hours to cover planned leave periods.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Officer to join our team in Lidcombe, Sydney on a casual basis, working a baseline of approximately 20 hours per week but flex up to full time when necessary to cover planned leave periods. This is a busy operations role, so time management skills, good communication and organisational skills are key in the role.

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, your responsibilities will be:

• Order fulfilment: Assist with picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch or collection by technicians
• Receiving: Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments. Verify delivered quantities against packing lists and report any discrepancies.
• Inventory Control: Perform routine stock counts and identify any discrepancies.
• Waste Management: As required, assist with decanting waste from wheelie bins returned by service technicians into large waste bins for collection.
• Recycling: Assist with the cleaning and recycling of stock returned from the field.
• Leave Cover: Flex up working hours during designated periods and extended planned leave of other team members

The preferred candidate will possess the following attributes:

• LF Forklift License is advantageous
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Experience in warehouse or inventory will be an advantage
• Physically fit, as some manual handling is required
• Ability to work in a team, with a 'can-do' attitude
• Computer knowledge
• Prioritise in tight timeframes and be a great organiser.
