About the Role

We are looking for Warehouse Manager to lead Midland Brick’s warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring materials are received, stored and distributed safely, accurately and efficiently across multiple operational sites.

You will be responsible for maintaining strong inventory control, improving warehouse processes and ensuring reliable stock availability to support production and maintenance activities.

Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Safety and site leadership teams, you will drive consistent warehouse standards, optimise material flow, reduce operational risk and enhance overall plant performance. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on delivering exceptional service, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the ongoing success of our manufacturing operations.

About You

You are an experienced warehouse and inventory leader with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial or construction materials environments. You bring expertise in warehouse operations, inventory control, ERP systems and continuous improvement, with a proven ability to enhance safety, service levels and stock accuracy. Relevant qualifications in warehousing, logistics or supply chain management are highly regarded, along with a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

A confident and collaborative leader, you build strong relationships across the business and lead teams to deliver results. You combine sound commercial judgement with a customer‑focused approach, use data to drive decision‑making, and are committed to maintaining high safety standards while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Your role will include:
  • Leading, coaching and developing the Warehouse and Inventory team to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused operations.
  • Planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stock control, deliveries and inventory counts.
  • Building team capability through training, performance management and succession planning.
  • Maintaining a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Managing the end-to-end receiving process, including inspections, receipting and put‑away of materials.
  • Ensuring damaged, incorrect or non‑conforming goods are identified, quarantined and resolved promptly.
  • Overseeing the storage, labelling, picking, issuing, transfer and return of inventory.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring all stock movements are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, critical spares and replenishment requirements to support operational needs.
  • Leading cycle counts and stocktakes, investigating variances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing controls for high‑value, critical and hazardous inventory items.
  • Reporting on inventory accuracy, service performance, stock availability and key warehouse metrics.
  • Working closely with Production, Maintenance and Procurement teams to meet operational requirements and resolve supply issues.
  • Driving warehouse best practices through 5S, visual management, standard work and process audits.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to warehouse layout, material flow, systems and overall operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in warehouse, stores or inventory management.
  • Previous experience leading and supporting a warehouse team.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
  • Experience with receiving, storage, stocktakes and replenishment activities.
  • Proficient in ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and solve operational problems.
  • Strong focus on workplace safety and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
  • Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of inventory‑related costs.
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field will be highly regarded.
  • Forklift licence, leadership training and Lean or continuous improvement experience are desirable.
