Job summary

Thomas Electrical and Solar, Molendinar QLD, seeks a Warehouse Storeperson to own the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse, stock and purchasing. You will ensure materials for electrical, solar and battery teams are ready and accurately recorded in Simpro.

Key duties include creating POs, receiving deliveries, stock allocation, and managing stock levels. You’ll work independently and may operate a forklift on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar warehouse, storeperson, purchasing or inventory role is essential.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the warehouse.
• Physically capable of handling general electrical, solar and battery equipment.
• Confident dealing with suppliers and our field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Ordering materials and equipment from suppliers.
• Creating and managing purchase orders in Simpro.
• Receiving and checking supplier deliveries against purchase orders.
• Receipting purchase orders and supplier invoices through Simpro.
• Allocating purchased materials and warehouse stock to the correct jobs.
• Picking and preparing materials for upcoming installation teams.
• Maintaining warehouse stock and minimum stock levels.
• Regular stocktakes and inventory counts.
• Investigating and correcting stock discrepancies.
• Operating a forklift for loading, unloading and organising stock.
