Job summary

Tuga Pastries Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant & Driver to support daily operations in Sydney. This full-time role covers warehouse duties and delivery shifts, including Sundays, to ensure pastries reach our customers fresh and on time.

You'll manage stock, receive deliveries, load the van, and keep the workspace clean and compliant with food safety standards. A can-do attitude and reliability are essential in our growing family business.

Qualifications

• Valid, full Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or delivery role.
• Forklift license and walkie stacker experience are a plus.
• Physical ability to lift, load and move stock safely.
• Food industry experience is a bonus.
• Reliable, punctual and positive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring stock is organized, rotated and ready for the baking team.
• Receive and check deliveries to ensure items are accounted for.
• Pack orders and load the van to ensure items arrive in good condition.
• Keep the warehouse tidy, safe and compliant with food safety standards.
• Deliver pastries on Sundays and back-up during the week as needed.
• Be a proactive, collaborative team member on the warehouse floor and on the road.

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT & DRIVER Full-time (Sun-Thurs)

If you’ve ever tasted one of our famous Portuguese Tarts, you know the magic that happens in our kitchens. But to keep that magic moving seamlessly across Sydney, we need someone running the engine behind the scenes.

Who are we?

Tuga Pastries is a second-generation bakery that has been in Sydney for over 35 years making the best pastries, but most famously known for our amazing Portuguese Tarts. We currently have 3 locations, and we are thrilled to be bringing our energy to Sydney Airport (our 4th location!), with the CBD joining us next. Very exciting times ahead!

Now, as our operations expand, we’re looking for a high-energy Warehouse Assistant & Driver to keep our supplies organized and ensure our pastries get exactly where they need to go.

What you’ll do:

• Keep things moving: Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring ingredients and packaging stock are organized, rotated and ready for the baking team.


• Receive with care: Meticulously receive and check incoming deliveries to ensure our supplies and ingredients are perfectly accounted for.


• Pack and load: Carefully pack orders and load the van to ensure everything arrives looking as perfect as it did when it came out of the oven.


• Maintain a clean, organized workflow: Keep the warehouse tidy, safe and compliant with food safety standards while supporting the broader Tuga team.


• Hit the road (when needed): Take the wheel for guaranteed delivery shifts on Sundays, and act as a reliable backup driver during the week to ensure our baked goods always reach their destination.


• Bring your personality: Be a reliable, hands-on team player who brings a positive attitude to the warehouse and out on the road.

What you bring:

• A valid, full Driver’s License with a clean driving record (you are moving precious cargo, after all!).


• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery driver role (food industry experience is a huge bonus).


• A valid Forklift license and hands-on experience operating a walkie stacker/lift is an added bonus!


• Physical fitness and the ability to comfortably lift, load and move stock safely.


• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively on the road.
