Job summary

Balance Mobility in Biggera Waters, Queensland is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics hub. This full-time role ensures accurate receiving, storage and dispatch of products as part of a small, supportive team.

You will coordinate with the delivery team, assist loading and prepping vehicles, perform stock checks, and help implement simple improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to safely lift heavy items and perform manual handling.
• Knowledge of stock control, order processing and warehouse operations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with warehouse management software and relevant technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery team activities, assist in loading/prepping vehicles for deliveries and trials.
• Build stock to fulfil orders and assist with hire item maintenance.
• Manage receiving, storage and distribution of inventory with accurate location tracking.
• Support inventory management systems with stock checks and cycle counts.
• Identify and resolve warehouse bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Assist in courier booking for small items and ensure safety compliance.
• Foster teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.

About the role

Due to exceptional growth, we have an exciting new opportunity, As a Warehouse Assistant at Balance Mobility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub in Biggera Waters, Queensland. This full-time position is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse and working closely with the delivery team, ensuring that all products are accurately received, stored, and dispatched in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience of:

• Assisting in coordinating the work of the delivery team, including assisting in loading and prepping vehicles for deliveries and trials as well as assisting in scheduling delivery runs.
• Building stock to complete orders and assisting with hire item maintenance.
• Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory, ensuring that all products are accurately accounted for and stored in the appropriate locations
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of effective inventory management systems, including regular stock checks and cycle counting.
• Help Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the warehouse operations, implementing process improvements as needed
• Assisting in courier booking processes for small items.
• Ensure own compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 year of experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.

Ability to employ safe manual handling techniques and ability to lift reasonably heavy items in a safe, efficient manner and with assistance when required.

Knowledge of inventory management principles, including stock control, order processing, and warehouse operations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address issues efficiently

Proficient in the use of warehouse management software and other relevant technology

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance within the workplace

Forklift license and/or experience in operating warehouse equipment preferred

Some technical knowledge would be advantageous as some product assembly and routine maintenance of equipment is required
