Job summary

PE Foods is seeking a hands-on Warehouse 2IC to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced food distribution environment at the Alstonville depot. The role entails acting as Warehouse Manager when needed, coordinating with Sales, Customer Service and Transport, and promoting a collaborative team culture.

Ideal candidates will have forklift certification, leadership experience, and solid knowledge of WMS and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/distribution (food industry preferred).
• Valid forklift licence.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent communication and cross-department liaison skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes, safety standards, and WMS.
• Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team in daily warehouse operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse 2IC to join our team in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance staff supervision, operational efficiency, and step up as Acting Warehouse Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team in daily warehouse operations.
• Act as 2IC, stepping up as Warehouse Manager when required.
• Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Transport for smooth communication.
