Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a hospital reception officer to be the welcoming face of the ward and coordinate admissions, transfers and patient flow. You will provide professional and compassionate reception services and support safe, efficient patient care in a Monday–Friday 7:30am–3:36pm role.

As the ward’s first point of contact, you’ll manage enquiries, assist visitors, and maintain patient information systems with accuracy while working as part of a supportive team in a public health

Qualifications

• Deliver professional and welcoming customer service.
• Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families and staff.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail with patient information and records.
• Confidently use hospital information systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, or quickly learn new systems.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also managing your workload independently and responsibly.
