Job summary

Game 7 Projects Pty Ltd – Regents Park QLD is seeking a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis. You’ll install wall and floor tiles to a high standard across residential and commercial projects, reading plans and preparing surfaces in line with Australian Standards.

You must hold a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (CPC31320) or equivalent, have at least 1 year of tiling experience, and be proficient in reading plans, measuring materials, waterproofing,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (CPC31320) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler.
• Sound knowledge of tiling techniques, waterproofing practices and relevant Australian Standards.
• Ability to read plans and calculate material quantities accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality finishes.
• Good communication skills, and able to work on your own or as part of a team.
• Current White Card (General Construction Induction)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications to work out material quantities and layout of tiles.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, cleaning, filling holes and leveling uneven areas.
• Apply waterproofing membranes to wet areas such as bathrooms, laundries and balconies.
• Mix mortar, cement, screeds and adhesives to the correct consistency.
• Measure, mark and cut tiles to size and shape using hand and power cutting tools, wet saws and grinders.
• Spread adhesive and mortar, then lay and set tiles on walls, floors, stairs and other surfaces.
• Align and level tiles using string lines, spirit levels and laser levels.
• Lay decorative tiles, mosaics and feature patterns as specified.
• Install expansion and movement joints, then grout and seal joints between tiles.
• Clean finished surfaces and remove excess grout and adhesive.
• Repair and replace damaged or loose tiles
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep the work site clean and tidy

Game7Projects is an established building and construction business. We deliver residential and commercial projects, including new homes, extensions, renovations and fit-outs. As our workload grows, we’re looking for a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis

The Role

You’ll install wall and floor tiles to a high standard across a range of projects. You’ll work from plans and specifications, prepare surfaces, and deliver clean, durable finishes that meet Australian Standards.
