Qualifications

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent required.
• At least 12 months of tiling experience.
• Strong measuring, cutting and installation skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good time management and organisation.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and ensure adhesion for tiling.
• Measure, mark and cut tiles for various layouts.
• Install wall and floor tiles with precision.
• Apply adhesives, grout and sealants for durability.
• Read plans and project specs to guide work.
• Coordinate with builders and trades to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling, and ensuring proper adhesion.
• Measure, mark, and cut tiles accurately to suit different surfaces and layouts.
• Install wall and floor tiles with precision, ensuring correct alignment and spacing.
• Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants to achieve a durable and professional finish.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with builders, supervisors, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow relevant Australian building requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
