Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Wakulda Program, with Brisbane or Williamtown base options. This junior role is part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to lifecycle tasks from proposal through to integration and change management.

You will collaborate to maintain EMS, plan training, and manage engineering artefacts within budget and schedule constraints, while engaging diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Approx 2 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, including Mandated System Reviews
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
• Experience developing and executing against Systems Engineering artefacts including Systems Engineering Management Plan and Verification and Validation Plan
• Experience with Change Management processes and progressing change management artefacts
• Experience in technical problem solving
• Experience with aerospace and / or defence projects and have NV1 Clearance
• Experience in supporting projects in an ASDEFCON contract environment highly regarded.

• Support Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager maintain and improve the Engineering Management System (EMS) including Plans, Procedures, Processes and Work Instructions.
• Collaborate with BDA Systems Engineering to plan and support EMS Training for Wakulda Engineers
• Work as part of wider team to develops and progress Engineering change management artefacts
• Manages design through the system engineering reviews and business gate process.
• Works with the project team to ensure the engineering scope is Developed, Verified and Delivered within the quality, schedule and budgetary constraints of the project
• Works with the project team to identify, mitigate and manage technical and project risks associated with capability delivery

Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of multiple air, land and sea platforms which is delivering critical capability for the Australian Defence Force. As part of this capability growth, Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the delivery additional capability to the Wakulda Program.

This junior systems engineer role is part of a multidisciplinary team, providing an opportunity to enhance your systems engineering expertise and leadership skills. You will contribute to the Wakulda Program by managing complex tasks, from the initial proposal and design phases through to the integration of changes into the platform.

Key responsibilities include:
