Are you studying Outdoor Education at Victoria University and looking to complete your internship while gaining valuable industry experience and getting paid?

Belgravia Outdoor Education is excited to welcome our next cohort of Outdoor Education Interns to join our team on a 0.4 part-time contract (Averaged to be 15.2 hours per week) while completing your internship unit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to complete part of your university degree while building real-world skills and experience across a range of outdoor education programs.

What You'll Receive

• $26.44 per hour
• All internship hours contribute towards your university internship requirements
• Salary 15.2 paid hours per week + Allowances + Applicable overtime
• Paid Rostered Time Off (RTO)
• 7 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
• Applicable allowances when working programs
• Overtime accrual when working more than 12 hours in a day
• Extensive on-the-job training and development
• Experience across both Camp and Journey-based programs
• Exposure to a leading outdoor education provider before graduating

About the Role

Most programs run between 3 and 5 days in duration andnormally require overnight attendance (Resulting in additional allowance's). These programs provide an excellent opportunity providing excellent opportunities to develop practical skills in program delivery, risk management, facilitation, and group leadership.

When not actively working on a program, contracted hours will be allocated as Rostered Time Off (RTO). If you are unavailable due to university commitments, study requirements, or personal leave, you will be required to access available RTO where applicable 0.4 load is chosen as if applicant works peak available periods RTO should cover all core Uni Blocks. Leave over busy periods, missed programs or involvement in elective units may impact this. Where no leave balances are available, Leave Without Pay (LWOP) may apply.

This internship is designed to give you a genuine insight into what it's like to work in the outdoor education industry while supporting you to complete your studies.
