Access Aged Care on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide on-site care within Residential Aged Care Homes.

Weekday hours only, no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements, with after-hours support available. You will conduct regular weekly rounds for a stable resident cohort, supported by an Access Aged Care Nurse and telehealth geriatrics specialists to aid decision-making and care coordination.

Qualificações

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1-2 days per week, with opportunity to increase.
• Comfortable with technology and common clinical software.
• Personal laptop required.

About The Role

Access Aged Care is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide on-site care within Residential Aged Care Homes within the Sunshine Coast.

This opportunity offers weekday hours only, with no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements. With dedicated after-hours support in place, you can switch off between sessions and protect your personal time.

You’ll provide regular weekly rounds within one or more Residential Aged Care Homes, caring for a consistent cohort of residents and building meaningful long-term relationships with residents, families and care teams.

An Access Aged Care Nurse supports your rounds, residents and follow-up care, helping coordinate care plans, investigations and communication with homes so your sessions run smoothly and efficiently.

Supported by telehealth geriatricians, physicians and specialists, you will have trusted backup for complex clinical decision-making and preventative resident care - helping address issues early, before they escalates into avoidable deterioration or hospital presentations.
