Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to lead our organisation-wide volunteer program. You will develop strategies, establish systems and collaborate with Traditional Owners, volunteers and partners to deliver meaningful environmental stewardship and visitor experiences along the Great Ocean Road coast.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing volunteer programs or similar in public/environmental settings.
• Strong project management across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience developing governance, compliance and safety processes.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to prepare reports and recommendations.
• Understanding of volunteer management, risk, privacy and compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and implementation of GORCAPA's volunteer framework and annual work plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end volunteer experience: recruitment, onboarding, training, support, recognition and retention.
• Develop opportunities supporting conservation, citizen science, visitor experiences and community engagement.
• Build relationships with volunteers, Traditional Owners, community organisations and government partners.
• Establish policies, governance frameworks and safe, inclusive participation.
• Provide expert advice on program design and continuous improvement.
• Monitor program performance using data to drive decisions and enhancements.
• Represent GORCAPA at volunteer, stewardship and community events.
