Job summary

Mercor is seeking graphic designers with 2-3 years of professional or freelance experience, or current postgraduate design students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real design workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications

• Masters studies or 2–3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in design
• Own a MacBook/Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, macOS 15+
• Proficiency in branding, layout, typography and visual communication; a portfolio is a plus
• Ability to clearly explain creative decisions while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real graphic design tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
• Contribute to real design workflows within a research project
• Work with flexible hours (approximately 10–20 hours per week) and immediate start

You will work through real design workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, or Canva

• Experience with branding, layout, typography, and visual communication; a portfolio is a plus

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Ability to clearly explain your creative decisions while you work

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Details:

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week
