Job summary

Mercor is seeking data analysts and spreadsheet specialists with 2-3 years of experience, or current postgraduate students in a quantitative field, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real data analysis workflows on your Mac to benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

This part-time role involves 10-20 hours per week, with responsibilities including completing and narrating data analysis tasks and creating high-quality training data for advanced AI

Qualifications

• You must own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models)
• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
