Job summary

Covenant Christian School in Belrose, NSW invites applications for a Secondary Visual Arts Teacher (7–12). The role involves delivering a Christian-based Visual Arts curriculum, aligning with NESA requirements, and supporting student wellbeing and growth in a faith-centered environment.

The successful candidate will plan across Years 7–12, foster student portfolios and exhibitions, and collaborate with Learning Support and staff.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian living in accord with the school’s beliefs and values.
• Affirmation of the School’s Statement of Belief and Christian practice.
• Demonstrated passion for Christian Education with NSW accreditation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; able to work in a team.
• A current Working with Children Check is required.
• Comfortable using technology to support teaching programs.
• Understanding of developmental needs and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality Visual Arts instruction for years 7–12 aligned with NESA and school pedagogy.
• Plan and implement engaging courses across Visual Arts including painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback within deadlines.
• Support student portfolios, exhibitions, and development of bodies of work.
• Collaborate with Learning Support and extension staff and communicate with parents as appropriate.
• Maintain positive classroom culture and effective use of technology to enhance learning.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to staff meetings and school events.
