Job summary

Kingston State College seeks a Deputy Principal to lead a school-wide Teaching and Learning portfolio and support Years 9–10 learners. The role requires strategic, ethical leadership, strong governance, and the ability to deputise for the Principal when required.

The position is a temporary Expressions of Interest opportunity with potential extensions up to 12 months, and applicants must be current Queensland Government employees to be eligible.

• Provide strategic educational leadership by working with the Principal and school community to develop and implement a shared vision focused on high-quality learning outcomes for all students.

• Build strong partnerships and collaboration with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business to support student learning and whole-school improvement.
• Drive future-focused improvement and professional growth through strategic planning, lifelong learning, ongoing professional development and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective governance and resource management by understanding and applying relevant legislation and policies, managing resources strategically, and deputising for the Principal when required.
