Job summary

Beenleigh State High School in Queensland invites applications for Deputy Principal - Junior Secondary to provide strategic and instructional leadership, working with the Principal, staff, students, families and community partners to raise outcomes.

You will help develop a shared vision, set high expectations, and foster a culture of care, responsibility and achievement while deputising for the Principal when required.

Qualifications

• Candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of legislation, policies and practices underpinning contemporary schooling.
• Experience leading school communities and driving student outcomes.
• Commitment to embedding socially just practices within daily school life.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and instructional leadership across Beenleigh State High School in partnership with the Principal and leadership team.
• Develop and articulate a shared educational vision and high expectations for students and staff.
• Strengthen partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations and industry to support student outcomes.
• Deputise for the Principal as required and promote ethical, values-based leadership.
