Moderna Therapeutics in Melbourne seeks a senior engineer to own Automated Vision Inspection and Packing systems within sterile production. You will drive the equipment lifecycle from design to qualification and support ongoing GMP operations.

The role requires deep knowledge of vision platforms, PLC/HMI controls and aseptic filling, with a track record in regulated manufacturing and cross-functional collaboration. This is a 100% onsite Melbourne role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years supporting highly automated production equipment.
• Desirable GMP experience and vision/packing systems knowledge.
• Experience with aseptic manufacturing and filling preferred.
• Experience programming and supporting vision/pack platforms and ERP such as SAP.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Melbourne site SME for Automated Vision Inspection and Packing systems.
• Lead the technical lifecycle of vision inspection and packing equipment in sterile manufacturing.
• Review and approve URS, functional descriptions, drawings and vendor docs.
• Execute FAT at vendor sites and assist on-site commissioning.
• Support electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting during production.
• Develop and maintain engineering turnover packages and change controls.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, EHS, Digital and Validation.
