Job summary

The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) invites applications for a Virtual EAL/D Officer to support newly arrived years 1–6 students across CACGEL schools in NSW. The role delivers online sessions via Teams to accelerate English language learning and to align with the Australian Curriculum EAL/D progressions.

The position is a full-time, 15-month contract based in Canberra, with travel to NSW schools and a focus on inclusive pedagogy.

Qualifications

• TESOL qualifications and/or experience with newly arrived migrant or multilingual learners.
• Experience delivering instruction through digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams or similar.

Responsibilities

• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse language, literacy and learning needs.
• Participate in transition meetings with schools to support students exiting the VES program.
• Travel regularly to NSW schools to build relationships with students, families and school leaders.
