Job summary

The Victorian School of Languages (VSL) seeks an EAL Teacher for Primary or Secondary with a 1.0 FTE split to support the Virtual EAL New Arrivals Program. Teachers work onsite at VSL head office in Collingwood and leverage Webex and digital tools to deliver curriculum and individualised content for new arrivals across rural and isolated settings.

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to support literacy/numeracy.
• SC2: Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating growth.
• SC3: Experience monitoring/assessing learning and providing feedback to students/parents.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal/communication skills and collaboration with school community.
• SC5: Reflective practice and commitment to professional learning.
