Job summary

NSW Health in the Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead learning and professional development for nursing staff within the Virtual Care Service. You will deliver clinical education, orientation and competency assessment across virtual, clinic, and outreach settings.

The role focuses on evidence-based practice and safe, patient-centred care, with opportunities to teach in NSLHD and external organisations; travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, develop and implement structured learning and professional development programs for nursing staff within the Virtual Care Service.
• Provide clinical education, orientation, competency assessment and skills accreditation for nursing staff delivering virtual, clinic-based and outreach care.
• Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to safe, high-quality, patient-centred care; drive continuous service improvement.
• Deliver NSLHD Nursing Orientation and service-specific training; may teach in NSLHD and external organisations; travel to other sites as required.
