Job summary

Sutton Grange Winery, a boutique Central Victorian wine producer, seeks an enthusiastic and experienced individual to manage its 12Ha estate vineyard in Sutton Grange. The role is hands-on and requires day-to-day oversight of the vineyard within a small quality-focused team.

Reporting to the Chief Winemaker, you will lead pruning, canopy management, irrigation, pest and weed control, machinery operations and harvest activities while upholding safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial vineyards and/or orchards.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and OH&S principles.
• Understanding of vineyard/orchard seasonal operations.
• Experience operating tractors and vineyard machinery including spray plant operations.
• Chemcert accreditation or ability to obtain.
• Current Victorian Forklift Licence or ability to obtain.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to undertake routine machinery maintenance.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• Ability to independently organise, prioritise and work according to seasonal priorities.
• Good communication and reporting skills within a small team.
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• A current driver's licence.
• Willingness to undertake a broad range of vineyard and property duties.

Sutton Grange Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join its vineyard and winery team to manage its 12Ha estate vineyard in Sutton Grange, Central Victoria.

This is a hands-on role within a boutique family-owned vineyard and winery operation. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the vineyard, working within a small quality-focused team.

The role

About you

To be considered for this position you will require:

• Experience working in commercial vineyards and/or orchards

While formal qualifications will be looked on favourably, real world experience is essential.

Experience with sustainable and organic vineyard practices would be advantageous given Sutton Grange's approach to vineyard management.
