Job summary

Joval Family Wines in Healesville, VIC, is seeking a permanent part-time Vineyard Operator to join Long Gully Vineyard in the Yarra Valley. The role offers hands-on, outdoors work and a pathway to grow in Viticulture while you study or recently finished.

You will support daily vineyard operations, assist with harvests, and learn from winemakers. A forklift license or safety certificates are helpful but not essential; willingness to obtain them is valued.

Qualifications

• You’ll be studying Viticulture, or have recently finished studying, you’re looking for a career in Viticulture and are ready to learn.
• You’d describe yourself as enthusiastic, action-orientated and passionate about wine.
• You will ideally have a Forklift license, Chemical Handling or Growsafe certificate and be First Aid qualified, not a worry if you don’t, as long as you are willing to get these certifications if you are the successful candidate.
• Please note: The successful applicant must have full working rights, will be required to complete a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Vineyard Operations: pruning, vine training, mowing, spraying, pest control, keeping diaries of sprays & arranging regular service of equipment.
• Grape Supply & Harvest: working with the Winemaker to support harvesting, assist with generating yield estimates
• OH&S: identify and report and OH&S matters, safe use of all machinery and equipment and ensure a safe working environment.

We are seeking a permanent part-time Vineyard Operator to join us at our Long Gully Vineyard in Healesville, in the beautiful Yarra Valley. This is a wonderful opportunity for a student studying Viticulture seeking hands‑on experience in a vineyard. This role offers you:

• Permanent part-time work, 3 or 4 days per week, 7am - 330pm
