Job summary

Clyde Park Winery in Bannockburn, VIC, seeks an experienced Vineyard Manager to lead day-to-day vineyard and farm operations. The role is hands-on, outdoors, and involves training a small team, scheduling activities and maintaining safety standards across the property used for restaurant, cellar door, weddings and events.

You will work closely with owners and the winemaking team, plan pruning, irrigation, harvest prep, machinery upkeep and record keeping to ensure premium fruit quality

Qualifications

• Experience in vineyard, farm or agricultural management.
• Strong knowledge of vineyard operations and viticulture.
• Ability to operate tractors and farm machinery.
• Good mechanical aptitude for maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, pest and disease management and spraying programs.
• Excellent organizational and forward-planning skills.
• Ability to coordinate staff and contractors.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly and seasonal vineyard operations.
• Oversee pruning, canopy management, irrigation, spraying and harvest preparation.
• Monitor vine health, phenology, pests and disease.
• Crop estimation, maturity monitoring and assisting with harvest scheduling.
• Maintain general farm and property infrastructure.
• Ensure high presentation across the property for restaurant, cellar door, weddings and events.
• Ensure OH&S and regulations compliance across vineyard activities.
• Collaborate with winemaking team to achieve premium fruit quality.
