Job summary

ISS Facility Services in Leinster, WA, seeks an experienced Village Manager to lead day-to-day village and town services for a mining community. You will oversee retail, hospitality, accommodation and recreation, ensuring safe operations, staff coverage and high resident satisfaction.

You will lead a diverse team of 50+ employees, drive service standards, manage P&L and engage with residents, contractors and the client.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Facilities Management, Village Management, Hospitality, Retail or Mining Camp Operations.
• Strong operational leadership across multiple service areas with 50+ employees.
• HSE/OH&S legislation knowledge, safety systems and compliance.
• Experience with HR and Industrial Relations frameworks.
• Strong commercial awareness including P&L management, budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to work a 4 days on, 3 days off FIFO roster from Perth.
• Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support department heads across retail, hospitality, accommodation and recreation services.
• Ensure supermarket, tavern, café, temporary accommodation and swimming pool are staffed, maintained and operated.
• Drive high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and resident experience.
• Ensure all services operate safely and in line with client and ISS policies and procedures.
• Provide visible leadership across the village and build relationships with residents, employees, contractors and client.
• Motivate, mentor and develop a diverse team of 50+ employees.
• Manage staff performance, engagement and development.
• Provide regular operational and commercial reporting to the Key Account Manager.
• Take responsibility for P&L, budgeting and cost control.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and resident experience.
• Ensure compliance with client and ISS HSE, Food Safety and operational requirements.
• Lead toolbox meetings, safety initiatives and in-field safety leadership.
• Ensure systems, processes and controls operate effectively.
• Foster a caring, positive, engaged, high-performing culture with learning and development at core.
• Actively participate in and support town activities, representing ISS professionally.
