WorkSafe Victoria is seeking a skilled Family Liaison Officer to provide trauma-informed, ongoing case management for families and injured workers after work-related incidents. This role involves delivering information, referrals and court support, and coordinating with investigators, prosecutors and service providers.

The position operates state-wide with a valid driver’s licence and occasional overnight travel, supporting victims of crime through the court process with professional judgement

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related allied health discipline is required equivalent to AQF level 7 or above.
• Experience providing complex case management or therapeutic services.
• Holding a valid driver’s licence.

Responsabilités

• Provide immediate specialist and trauma-informed support to victims of crime families after work-related injury or death.
• Assist victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system, including court processes.
• Collaborate across Investigations, Enforcement Legal, Claims Practices, Field Operations and contracted providers.
• Offer expert advice to investigators, prosecutors and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy and program development for victim support.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with families and assess their psychological and welfare needs.
• Develop tailored support plans ensuring access to needed services.
• Work independently with limited direction to support victims through the court process.
