About the role

The Vice President – Academic is SP Jain's senior academic leader across all campuses (Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai and Dubai) and all course levels (undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate). Reporting to the President and a member of the School's senior leadership team, with Deans and Academic Directors reporting to this position along with Research, Regulatory and Compliance functions, the role is responsible for upholding academic standards, leading and inspiring faculty, and raising the School's profile in academic circles both in Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the President in the School's strategy formulation, including academic, brand and financial wellbeing
• Steer the School's pedagogy and academic excellence in line with the Board-approved strategy
• Lead and oversee the Deans to recruit a diverse student body and deliver high-quality courses with strong graduate outcomes
• Guide the Deans and curriculum committees on innovative, technology-enabled pedagogy, online learning, gaming and simulations, for experiential, application-based learning
• Stay connected with students and alumni through town halls, alumni recognition events and focus groups
• Work with the Director, Faculty Management to develop and operationalize a comprehensive faculty recruitment and management plan
• Build and sustain a motivated, integrated academic team through regular engagement with faculty and academic staff
• Support and guide the Dean – Research to steer the School's research efforts and output towards practice-oriented research
• Steer the accreditation and quality assurance team to achieve accreditations and regulatory compliance with bodies such as TEQSA, EQUIS and AACSB
• Collaborate with the VP – Administration and Marketing teams to create global brand recognition and excellence for the School

Remuneration will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and expertise.
